Founded at the beginning of 2023, shortly after Katrina graduated from high school, Jumping Jacks Photography was inspired by and named after her two childhood Jack Russell Terriers, Jessie and Holly. As a pre-teen, Katrina created an Instagram account for her two girls, and over the years, she has grown both as a person and as a photographer. From using small pocket cameras to professional DSLRs and Mirrorless, she has experienced quite a journey to get to where she is today. Katrina taught herself how to operate cameras and developed her own editing style, which emphasises natural colour and lighting.

Though based in Melbourne, Australia, Katrina began travelling interstate to host photoshoots in late 2023. Since then, she has photographed many dogs in:

After the loss of one of her clients, Luna the Husky, her dedication to this business has only deepened. Luna’s passing served as a powerful reminder of why she does this work — to capture those special moments through photography.

Katrina’s love for dogs shines through both in her work and in the field. She aims to capture our beloved canines in their element, whether through action shots or portraits — at the beach, the park, the forest, you name it!
